    ENGINE # 129 "SHIP MISSABE" MATCHBOOK. Pre-Owned  This FULL "SHIP MISSABE" MATCHBOOK is in Excellent Shape. There is no creasing on the Saddle and even the Staple is still shiny. The Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range Railway Co. ceased operations in 2011 as it was taken over by the Wisconsin Central. Often referred to simply as the "MISSABE" the DM&IR Railway served mainly to transport iron ore & taconite from the Iron Ore Range in Minnesota & North Wisconsin to the Lake Superior ports of Duluth & Two Harbors. From there the ore was shipped to steel mills. Their operation began back in 1874. On the Front Cover is a drawing of Diesel Engine #129 and on the Back Cover is Missabe's Symbol. Nice addition for your Railroad Collection.
